Armourfloat® - Ballistic Flotation vest with or without "roll-over" capacity

Armourfloat® includes both ballistic protection and permanent flotation. Armourfloat style 1 and style 2 ballistic/floatation vests are U.S. Coast Guard Approved TYPE V PFD's for law enforcement use.

Ballistic materials used by AoA do not contain Zylon.

The ballistic material conform to the following specifications:

  1. Federal:   FED-STD-191, Textile test methods
  2. Military: 
  • MIL-STD-105, Sampling procedures and tables for inspection by attributes.
  • MIL-STD-662F, Ballistic acceptance tests method for personal armor material.

AoA is currently in the process of complying with NIJ 2005 Interim Requirement for Bullet Resistant Body Armor
