VEST SPECIFICATIONS

1. NIJ-0101.04 Type II, IIIA.
2. PIA-C-7219 Type 1, Class 3 Nylon Thread.
3. Federal Specifications V-T-295E, Nylon Thread.
4. ASTM D 6193-97 Stitches, Seams, and Stitching.
5. A-A-55126A, Fastener Tape, Hook and Pile, Nylon.
6. MIL-T-5038H, Binding Tape.

WORKMANSHIP

Construction details, cutting, stitching and finishing shall, in all cases, be in accordance with first class commercial textile standard practices. All items shall be free from any defects affecting the ability, appearance or safety of the user.

BALLISTIC MATERIAL

Ballistic material used “Kevlar”, “Goldflex”, or “Spectra”. The ballistic material shall conform to the following specifications:

1. Federal:   FED-STD-191, Textile test methods
2. Military: 
• MIL-STD-105, Sampling procedures and tables for inspection by attributes.
• MIL-STD-662F, Ballistic acceptance tests method for personal armor material.
